Description: This is a woodblock relief print inspired by the Chinese Zodiac Calendar and in celebration of year of the Rat, 2020. This print is part of an international print maker’s print exchange called the Cascade Print Exchange hosted by Oregon State University. It is the second print in a series that will be produced annually as the Chinese Zodiac calendar changes signs each year. The sign of the Rat rotates every 12 years and is harmonious with the signs of the Dragon and Monkey. The Rat is considered to be the luckiest sign of the Chinese Zodiac and known for opening doors to a new vision.
