Join alternative process photographer Tania Kaaz for her Birthday Pop Up Art Show on final Sunday in September. Tania will have her artwork at Grace Noel Art which is located in Underground of the Denver Art Society. This event will coincide with the Final Sunday Art Walk where the galleries of Denver's Art District will be open extended hours, offering refreshments and live music. I practice alternative processing, which involves submerging my film in various liquids before I process it. I also manipulate my film in other ways, such as lighting it on fire and coating it in acid. I play with damaging film but not completely destroying it and in doing this, I produce something new and totally unique. The results are warped negatives with whorls of color that are often unexpected and random.

I hope my images can produce the sense of childlike wonder and show the viewer that damage can result in great and unique beauty, both in art and in life.
