Description: Backcountry is an expression of Grace’s love for backcountry skiing. Grace lived in the mountains above Boulder from 2015-2017 and would get snowed into her remote location. This painting was created in that mountain home to pass the time while Grace was snowed in. Grace and her dog loved their backcountry adventures in the national forest while watching the sunrise and set over the sparkling, pristine snow that buried their house. As a backcountry enthusiast and lifelong skier Grace thrived on the natural beauty of winter that is both fierce and magical.
