Description: Hero and Martyr Series: Chelsea Manning was inspired by the wrongful imprisonment of Chelsea Manning. Manning showed the world the wrongful acts of war waged agains Iraqi civilians by the US military by leaking confidential footage. Manning declared themselves as transgender upon their sentencing for treason against the US Government. This print is to commemorate the lives lost to senseless violence and is in solidarity with the efforts to one day achieve equality and justice for all people. The image is carved into wood, then ink, paper, and pressure create a limited edition hand pulled print by Grace Noel Art.
