Happy Spring from Grace Noel Art!

Spring has arrived and I’m just loving the warmer temperatures along with budding trees, flowers, and sunny evenings.  As the seasons change, the cardinal sign of Aries ignites the sky with fire - it's time to be outside and enjoy the sunshine!  Let's take a magical journey through the rainbow and begin to know a little bit more about the magical world we call home.

Aries is the first sign of the western zodiac and it is a fire sign and it represents the sun - our great fire in the sky.  The first warmer days of the year let us know that winter is in the clear! What is significant here, is that Aries is the first fire sign of the year, indicating that winter lacks a zodiac sign from the fire element.  There are no western zodiac signs that are part of the fire element from the winter solstice to the spring equinox: Capricorn, an earth sign begins with the winter solstice, then Aquarius an air sign, and the final sign before the spring equinox is Pisces, a water sign. In fact - fire or heat - is what we all seek during winter.  As the Spring Equinox presents the first fire sign (Aries) of the new year we all begin a new quest - to supplement with water.  The trend for the signs is such: each season is missing one element - Winter lacks a fire sign, Spring lacks a water sign, Summer lacks an air sign, and Fall lacks an earth sign. Whichever element is missing in the season, is the one we need most!  However, the element that was lacking from the season before, will start the season to come and ready to launch a new cycle! I will dive into this throughout the year so stay tuned!

For this Spring, we celebrate the return of warmth and light with the cardinal fire sign of Aries.  Aries motivates us to go outside and have fun in the sunshine.  Aries is the visionary, the farmer, and the warrior - Aries launches the growing season in the northern hemisphere.  Take notice that water is highlighted during this season because it is the lacking element until the cardinal sign of Cancer returns with the summer solstice and beginning of Summer. For Spring, watch the ways water is supplemented in your daily life - watering a garden, flooding, meditating, creating, and sensitivity.  Water teaches us how to cultivate and nourish life so that we may make it to the fall with plenty for all.
